In the month of April 1963 Sant Nischal Singh Ji Maharaj inspired and motivated Gur Bux Singh and his brothers to donate the family property for nobel cause of establishing GURU NANAK SCHOOL at RANCHI in memory of their father Late S. Kartar Singh [Waddi Gaddi Wale] 1st President of Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ranchi.The foundation stone of Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School was laid by Sant Nischal Singh Ji on 13th Feb. 1965 and its first academic session started in the year 1968 in its own premises.

This school has shown steady and phenomenal progress in imparting quality education to the students ever since it was upgraded from Primary to Senior Secondary level. More stress is laid on training the children with the modern concept of education to meet the demands posed by the contemporary hi-tech world. It also aims to trace and bring out the latent talents of the children mentally, physically and morally.
